Nursery During Worship Services

Nursery for ages newborn - 3 1/2 is provided during worship services, staffed by adult congregation members who have been approved through our Youth Safety Policy and assisted by youth helpers ages 11-17. There is also a nursing area for mothers and infants in the nursery room and changing tables in both adult bathrooms upstairs and in the toddler's restroom in the nursery. Additional diapering supplies are available in the toddler's restroom in the nursery.

Children and Worship

Children and Worship for ages 3 1/2 - 2nd Grade is offered during worship services as a way for young children to both learn to participate in worship and receive a message from God's Word at their own level. Parents are asked to keep their children with them to begin the service so they can experience the music, the unity of the family of God, and the humility of coming to God in confession. Then, shortly before the message, they are invited to meet their leaders in the lobby, head downstairs together, and hear a story and teaching from God's Word. This is led & assisted by adult congregation members who have been approved through our Youth Safety Policy, along with the assistance of youth helpers ages 11-17. After their time downstairs, they return to the sanctuary, usually shortly before the adult message is complete, and they continue the service with their parents. Participation in this is optional, but has proven to be a wonderful blessing both to the children and to their parents.

Sunday School

Classes are offered for ages 3 1/2 through adults from September through May from 10:30-11:30am. Each class teaches God's true and perfect Word to the children at their level and is led by a team of two loving and dedicated teachers who have been approved through our Youth Safety Policy. Lessons generally begin with a Bible story which is reinforced with prayer, crafts, games, and reenacting.

Treasure Hunters

For ages 3 1/2-5th grade, Treasure Hunters takes place as part of our Sunday evening 1Family nights (September through April). During this time we work on learning some basic life skills and ways that we can use them to live out our faith, also learning that faith is not just a “Sunday thing” or a “church thing,” rather that everything we do can be an act of praise or worship of God.

Visit our 1Family Page to learn more about the ministries that are available for all family members.

Parables in the Park

For this summertime ministry, we meet at 10am on Wednesdays at different parks around the area to read a short, kid-friendly Bible story together, share a snack and a prayer, and play and fellowship together. Each family is given a copy of the story to take home with them so they can read it over again at home. If you have kids, grandkids, neighbor kids, or friends with kids, we encourage you and the kids to join us and to invite others. Rainy days we'll meet in the church basement for indoor fun with games, balls, hula hoops, jump ropes, etc.
