Critical Theory is an important topic of discussion for Christians in our day.

To facilitate this discussion among us, we welcomed in June 2021 guest speaker

Glenn Sunshine, Professor of History at Central Connecticut State University (and formerly at Calvin College)

who gave the following pair of presentations:

1) A history and explanation of Critical Theory, focusing especially on Critical Race Theory, and assessing it from a biblical perspective.

2) Focusing on the question of how the church can be actively working for true racial reconciliation in the current social context.
