Throughout the year we offer both family and adult social opportunities to promote fellowship among the congregation, and to provide an easy entry point for bringing a friend to a church function.
See the Church Calendar for upcoming events.
Some of our regular activities include:
Summertime Fellowship on the Lawn
Gathering after morning worship for cookies and conversation out on the lawn. A great time to meet someone new or to catch up with church family.
CRCSJ Summer Rallies
A summer challenge for our whole congregation! This is a new event that we hope will quickly become a favorite tradition. We are calling on our church family to invite their friends and family to an evening of food, fun, fellowship and truth. The last Saturday of each summer month (June, July & Aug) from 6-9pm, we'll meet outside on the church lawn and parking lot to hear God's word and to enjoy one another's company with games, crafts & music. We hope you'll join us!
Sunday Coffee Time
(Currently on hold due to Covid-19) September through May, coffee and hot tea are served in the church library right after the worship service. Welcoming our visitors and getting to know each other better over a good, hot beverage!
Lunch Bunch (ages 50+)
(Currently on hold due to Covid-19) Sharing a meal and socializing at a local restaurant on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 11:30 AM. Contact the church office for more information – firstname.lastname@example.org.
Breakfast together with the family of God from 8:00 – 9:15 AM, before our Easter morning worship service .
Sometimes on the church lawn and sometimes off site, this summertime tradition involves good food, cold drinks, lawn games, sunshine, and shade trees.
Adult Christmas Dinner
(Cancelled for 2020 due to Covid-19) A time for adults to celebrate the Christmas season around a nice meal, complete with a devotional message, a bit of entertainment, and our usual end to the evening… singing together those beloved Christmas carols and hymns.
Suppers of Eight
(Cancelled for 2021 due to Covid-19) A great way to get to know others in the church family by sharing a meal and enjoying time together. Once a month in January, February, and March, you’ll have supper with a group that in total has approximately 8 people, and the combination of guests and hosts changes each month. This allows you to get to know a good number of the church family with whom you might not typically have the opportunity to spend time.
Family Game Night, Adult Road Rally, Family of God Nights
We are always looking for ideas and for people to join in the planning! Contact the office - email@example.com.
